What's actually inside it
This is where the category splits, and it's worth being plain about it.
At the cheap end, the product is elastic. That is the whole object. There is no light, no current, no power source — the band applies pressure to your face and that is everything it does.
At the other end sit powered beauty devices. Here's what's physically in ours:
Red and near-infrared LEDs — 15 of them. Nine emit visible red light, six emit near-infrared, which sits just past the range your eye can see. Four intensity modes, from 50% brightness up to 100% with a 10Hz setting.
Galvanic microcurrent. A very low-level current, far below anything you would register as a shock. Most people describe it as nothing at all.
